Outlaw Woman Playlist: Volume I

Music has always been part of the landscape of my life.

Certain songs take me straight back to a place, a season, or a version of myself I almost forgot. Some carry the weight of hard years. Others remind me of the blessings that followed them.

This playlist moves through a lot of ground — gospel, country, blues, soul, old-school hip-hop, rock, and the kind of songs that feel like they belong on a long drive through the West. Music that tells the truth about life. Music that remembers where it came from.

I’ve always loved reading about the people behind the songs — the musicians, the bands, the culture that shaped them. The studios, the back roads, the late nights where something honest finally made its way onto tape. Music is history in motion. It marks time in a way almost nothing else can.

These songs are pieces of that timeline for me.

Some are tied to childhood memories, some to seasons of rebuilding, some simply to the kind of quiet moments when a good song is enough. Together they feel a lot like life itself — a little faith, a little grit, a little heartbreak, and a lot of soul.

Outlaw Woman Playlist Volume One is simply a collection of songs that have stayed with me.
